Whenever you go whitewater rafting, they warn you about getting stuck under the boat if you fall. You know what they say?

Because our instinct is to go a little bit in one direction, change our mind, and go in a different direction.
Many of us do that in our careers as well.
And every journey needs a map! Full of milestones, obstacles, and rewards.
Your problem isn't doing what you set out to do; you got that covered.
The problem is knowing what the first step is and seeing it align to a bigger picture.

When I decided to quit my job and change careers in 2017, I went through all the stages of: what the heck do I want to do, how the heck am I going to do it, and ok, I'm doing it and now what?
I learned that my career path is unique to me and once I released expectations of doing it the "right" way, I was free to explore, get curious, and take serious action.
